A Pakistani Teacher is Teaching the Students and Giving Instructions on the Board.

Here comes the news about the Punjab educators recruitment to reduce the shortage of teachers in schools. Hopefully, the appointments will be done purely on merit basis as earlier. All candidates will go through fisky NTS. Thousands of candidates appear in the exam to try their luck to get a job in Public Sector. Those will cross the bridge of NTS will include in the final meri list. The study of Educators Recruitment Policy of 2013 and 2014 shows that 05 and 20 marks were allocated for Masters degree respectively.

If we calculate the marks of a candidate attaining 76pc marks in BS.(Hons) and compare it to the equivalently qualified M.Sc. degree holder.

The marks attained by BS degree holder are calculated twice in the context of Bachelors and Masters degree while marks obtained by the B.Sc. (Annual) vary greatly in percentage owing to the hectic syllabus and schedule of examination. The recruitment policy makers must eliminate such lapses in the process of recruitment.

The Public Sector recruitment authorities must consider the difference the semester and annual system of education and should credit the candidates correspondingly. They should not assess the students on the basis of their qualification percentage overwhelmingly because all the students don’t study in equally supporting environment, some pursue their studies inspite of economic disparities, domestic issues, some cannot access the better educational facilities.

Some carry out their studies as a part time work because they have to bear the burnt of their family and this is the case for many male candidates. Lastly, the multiple choice questioning is time saving but dissatisfactory and overburdened. The students have to attempt 18pc to 20pc Multiple choice questions in their intermediate, bachelors and masters degrees and are expected to pass out of 100pc in PPSC and other recruitment criterions. The PPSC and other examining organizations must pursue the subjective pattern of assessment in addition to mcqs paper. They must stop showing the attitude of indifference towards the problems and issues of the aspirants.
