Blind student tortured to death

In our religion teachers are considered as the spiritual fathers. Since our childhood we are taught to respect our teachers as we do of our parents. Indeed, after family, teachers have the most important role in a child’s personality grooming. When these teachers teach Islam learning they become even more reputable in the eyes of people.

What if these spiritual survivors kill the innocent children?

According to a news in daily Dawn a Madressah teacher has been accused of torturing a blind student to death for not learning his lessons.

Police told that Qari Ziauddin of the Qari Latif Madressah in Union Council-1, severely beat up the seven-year-old Atif and then tied up his feet with a ceiling fan hook. Hanged upside down, the boy died after some time and his family found marks of severe beating on his body. Qari Ziauddin escaped but he was arrested from Luddan.

DSP Akram Niazi said that the initial post-mortem report confirmed that the death was caused by severe torture. Atif’s mother and grandmother quoted fellow students as saying that the teacher had locked the boy in a room.

What is the impact of these sorts of incidents in an Islamic Country? How parents and students can trust the teachers. These so called nation educators have spread fear in the minds of people. They have threatened the concept of Islamic learning and Madressah. Although present government has implemented rules and regulations for the establishment of Madressah and teaching but still there are so many Madressah which need to be checked. We can’t afford any more killings of innocent children by these fake and cruel educators.
