وَ اَقْسَمُوْا بِاللّٰهِ جَهْدَ اَیْمَانِهِمْ لَىٕنْ جَآءَتْهُمْ اٰیَةٌ لَّیُؤْمِنُنَّ بِهَاؕ-قُلْ اِنَّمَا الْاٰیٰتُ عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ وَ مَا یُشْعِرُكُمْۙ-اَنَّهَاۤ اِذَا جَآءَتْ لَا یُؤْمِنُوْنَ ﴿۱۰۹﴾

اور انہوں نے اللہ کی قسم کھائی اپنے حلف میں پوری کوشش سے کہ اگر ان کے پاس کوئی نشانی آئی تو ضرور اس پر ایمان لائیں گے، م فرما دو کہ نشانیاں تو اللہ کے پاس ہیں (ف۲۱۹) اور تمہیں (ف۲۲۰) کیا خبر کہ جب وہ آئیں تو یہ ایمان نہ لائینگے ﴿۱۰۹﴾
(ترجمہ: کنزالایمان) اور یہ لوگ خدا کی سخت سخت قسمیں کھاتے ہیں کہ اگر ان کے پاس کوئی نشانی آئے تو وہ اس پر ضروری ایمان لے آئیں۔ کہہ دو کہ نشانیاں تو سب خدا ہی کے پاس ہیں۔ اور (مومنو!) تمہیں کیا معلوم ہے (یہ تو ایسے بدبخت ہیں کہ ان کے پاس) نشانیاں آ بھی جائیں تب بھی ایمان نہ لائیں ﴿۱۰۹﴾

And they swear a solemn oath by Allah that if there come unto them a portent they will believe therein. Say; Portents are with Allah and (so is) that which telleth you that if such came unto them they would not believe. ﴾109﴿
