قَاتِلُوا الَّذِیْنَ لَا یُؤْمِنُوْنَ بِاللّٰهِ وَ لَا بِالْیَوْمِ الْاٰخِرِ وَ لَا یُحَرِّمُوْنَ مَا حَرَّمَ اللّٰهُ وَ رَسُوْلُهٗ وَ لَا یَدِیْنُوْنَ دِیْنَ الْحَقِّ مِنَ الَّذِیْنَ اُوْتُوا الْكِتٰبَ حَتّٰى یُعْطُوا الْجِزْیَةَ عَنْ یَّدٍ وَّ هُمْ صٰغِرُوْنَ ﴿۲۹﴾

لڑو ان سے جو ایمان نہیں لاتے اللہ پر اور قیامت پر (ف۶۱) اور حرام نہیں مانتے اس چیز کو جس کو حرام کیا اللہ اور اس کے رسول نے (ف۶۲) اور سچے دین (ف۶۳) کے تابع نہیں ہوتے یعنی وہ جو کتاب دیے گئے جب تک اپنے ہاتھ سے جزیہ نہ دیں ذلیل ہوکر (ف۶۴) ﴿۲۹﴾
(ترجمہ: کنزالایمان) جو اہل کتاب میں سے خدا پر ایمان نہیں لاتے اور نہ روز آخرت پر (یقین رکھتے ہیں) اور نہ ان چیزوں کو حرام سمجھتے ہیں جو خدا اور اس کے رسول نے حرام کی ہیں اور نہ دین حق کو قبول کرتے ہیں ان سے جنگ کرو یہاں تک کہ ذلیل ہوکر اپنے ہاتھ سے جزیہ دیں ﴿۲۹﴾

Fight against such of those who have been given the Scripture as believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, and forbid not that which Allah hath forbidden by His messenger, and follow not the Religion of Truth, until they pay the tribute readily, being brought low. ﴾29﴿
