حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا دَاوُدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْعَطَّارُ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ كُرَيْبٍ مَوْلَى ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ صَلَّيْتُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ذَاتَ لَيْلَةٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقُمْتُ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ:‏‏‏‏ فَأَخَذَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِرَأْسِي مِنْ وَرَائِي فَجَعَلَنِي عَنْ يَمِينِهِ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ وَفِي الْبَاب عَنْ أَنَسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ وَحَدِيثُ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالْعَمَلُ عَلَى هَذَا عِنْدَ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَمَنْ بَعْدَهُمْ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالُوا:‏‏‏‏ إِذَا كَانَ الرَّجُلُ مَعَ الْإِمَامِ يَقُومُ عَنْ يَمِينِ الْإِمَامِ.

Urdu Translation

عبداللہ بن عباس رضی الله عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ   ایک رات میں نے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ نماز پڑھی، میں جا کر آپ کے بائیں جانب کھڑا ہو گیا تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے پیچھے سے میرا سر پکڑا اور مجھے اپنے دائیں طرف کر لیا۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- ابن عباس رضی الله عنہما کی حدیث حسن صحیح ہے، ۲- اس باب میں انس رضی الله عنہ سے بھی حدیث آئی ہے، ۳- صحابہ کرام اور ان کے بعد والے اہل علم کا اسی پر عمل ہے کہ جب ایک آدمی امام کے ساتھ ہو تو وہ امام کے دائیں جانب کھڑا ہو۔

English Translation

Ibn Abbas narrated: I prayed with the Prophet one night. I stood at his left, so Allah's Messenger took me by my head, from behind me, to put me on his right (side).
