Baab Fitno Aur Jungon Ka Bayan

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ حُبَابٍ، عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ صَالِحٍ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ قَيْسٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بُسْرٍ، أَنَّ أَعْرَابِيًّا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏مَنْ خَيْرُ النَّاسِ ؟ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ مَنْ طَالَ عُمُرُهُ وَحَسُنَ عَمَلُهُ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَجَابِرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ.

Urdu Translation

عبداللہ بن بسر رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   ایک اعرابی نے عرض کیا: اللہ کے رسول! لوگوں میں سب سے بہتر شخص کون ہے؟ آپ نے فرمایا: ”جس کی عمر لمبی ہو اور عمل نیک ہو“ ۱؎۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- یہ حدیث اس سند سے حسن غریب ہے، ۲- اس باب میں ابوہریرہ اور جابر رضی الله عنہما سے بھی احادیث آئی ہیں۔

English Translation

Abdullah bin Busr narrated that a Bedouin said: O Messenger of Allah! Who is the best of the people? He said: He whose life is long and his deeds are good. There are narrations on this topic from Abu Hurairah and Jabir.
