Abu Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said: The people will face three presentations on the Day of Judgement. As for (the first) two presentations, they are the arguments and the excuses, as for the third presentation, upon that the records will fly into the hands. Some will take them in their right hand, and some will take them in their left hand.

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ يُعْرَضُ النَّاسُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ثَلَاثَ عَرْضَاتٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَأَمَّا عَرْضَتَانِ فَجِدَالٌ وَمَعَاذِيرُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَمَّا الْعَرْضَةُ الثَّالِثَةُ فَعِنْدَ ذَلِكَ تَطِيرُ الصُّحُفُ فِي الْأَيْدِي، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَآخِذٌ بِيَمِينِهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَآخِذٌ بِشِمَالِهِ ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ وَلَا يَصِحُّ هَذَا الْحَدِيثُ مِنْ قِبَلِ أَنَّ الْحَسَنَ لَمْ يَسْمَعْ مِنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقَدْ رَوَاهُ بَعْضُهُمْ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ الرِّفَاعِيِّ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ وَلَا يَصِحُّ هَذَا الْحَدِيثُ مِنْ قِبَلِ أَنَّ الْحَسَنَ لَمْ يَسْمَعْ مِنْ أَبِي مُوسَى.

ابوہریرہ رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”قیامت کے دن لوگوں کی تین پیشیاں ہوں گی، دو بار کی پیشی میں بحث و تکرار اور عذر و بہانے ہوں گے، اور تیسری بار ان لوگوں کے اعمال نامے ان کے ہاتھوں میں اڑ رہے ہوں گے، تو کوئی اسے اپنے داہنے ہاتھ میں پکڑے ہو گا اور کوئی بائیں ہاتھ میں“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- یہ حدیث صحیح نہیں ہے، اس لیے کہ حسن کا سماع ابوہریرہ رضی الله عنہ سے ثابت نہیں ہے، ۲- بعض لوگوں نے اس حدیث کو «عن علي الرفاعي عن الحسن عن أبي موسى عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم» کی سند سے روایت کیا ہے، ۳- یہ حدیث بھی صحیح نہیں ہے کیونکہ حسن کا سماع ابوموسیٰ اشعری سے بھی ثابت نہیں ہے۔
