حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ نَيْزَكَ الْبَغْدَادِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكَّارٍ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ بَشِيرٍ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ سَمُرَةَ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ إِنَّ لِكُلِّ نَبِيٍّ حَوْضًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَإِنَّهُمْ يَتَبَاهَوْنَ أَيُّهُمْ أَكْثَرُ وَارِدَةً، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَإِنِّي أَرْجُو أَنْ أَكُونَ أَكْثَرَهُمْ وَارِدَةً ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقَدْ رَوَى الْأَشْعَثُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ الْحَسَنِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مُرْسَلًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ فِيهِ عَنْ سَمُرَةَ وَهُوَ أَصَحُّ.

Urdu Translation

سمرہ بن جندب رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”قیامت کے روز ہر نبی کے لیے ایک حوض ہو گا، اور وہ آپس میں ایک دوسرے پر فخر کریں گے کہ کس کے حوض پر پانی پینے والے زیادہ جمع ہوتے ہیں، اور مجھے امید ہے کہ میرے حوض پر ( اللہ کے فضل سے ) سب سے زیادہ لوگ جمع ہوں گے“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- یہ حدیث غریب ہے، ۲- اشعث بن عبدالملک نے اس حدیث کو حسن بصری کے واسطے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے مرسلاً روایت کیا ہے اور اس میں سمرہ کا ذکر نہیں کیا ہے، یہ روایت زیادہ صحیح ہے۔

English Translation

Samurah narrated the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w)said: Indeed there is a Hawd for every Prophet, and indeed they compete to see which of them has the most arriving at it. Indeed I hope that mine will be the one with the most arrival.
