حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ لَأَنْهَيَنَّ أَنْ يُسَمَّى رَافِعٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَبَرَكَةُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَيَسَارٌ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏هَكَذَا رَوَاهُ أَبُو أَحْمَدَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ جَابِرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عُمَرَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَرَوَاهُ غَيْرُهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَبُو أَحْمَدَ ثِقَةٌ حَافِظٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالْمَشْهُورُ عِنْدَ النَّاسِ هَذَا الْحَدِيثُ عَنْ جَابِرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَلَيْسَ فِيهِ عَنْ عُمَرَ.

Urdu Translation

عمر بن خطاب رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ” ( اگر میں زندہ رہا تو ان شاءاللہ ) رافع، برکت اور یسار نام رکھنے سے منع کر دوں گا“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- یہ حدیث غریب ہے، ۲- اسی طرح اسے ابواحمد نے سفیان سے ابوسفیان نے ابوزبیر سے ابوزبیر نے جابر سے اور انہوں نے عمر سے روایت کی ہے۔ اور ابواحمد کے علاوہ نے سفیان سے سفیان نے ابوزبیر سے اور ابوزبیر نے جابر سے جابر نے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے روایت کی ہے، ۳- ابواحمد ثقہ ہیں حافظ ہیں، ۴- لوگوں میں یہ حدیث «عن جابر عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم» مشہور ہے اور اس حدیث میں «عن عمر» ( عمر رضی الله عنہ سے روایت ہے ) کی سند سے کا ذکر نہیں ہے۔

English Translation

Narrated 'Umar [bin Al-Khattab]: that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: I forbid naming with Rafi, Barakah and Yasar.
