Umm Salamah said: “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) taught me, saying: ‘Say: “O Allah, this is the coming of Your night, and the departing of Your day, the voices of those calling to You, and the time of prayers to You, I ask You to forgive me (Allāhumma hādhastiqbālu lailika, wastidbāru nahārika, wa aṣwātu du`ātika wa ḥuḍūru ṣalawātika, as’aluka an taghfira lī).”

حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْأَسْوَدِ الْبَغْدَادِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ فُضَيْلٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ إِسْحَاق، عَنْ حَفْصَةَ بِنْتِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهَا أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، قَالَتْ:‏‏‏‏ عَلَّمَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قُولِي:‏‏‏‏ اللَّهُمَّ هَذَا اسْتِقْبَالُ لَيْلِكَ وَإِدْبَارُ نَهَارِكَ وَأَصْوَاتُ دُعَاتِكَ وَحُضُورُ صَلَوَاتِكَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَسْأَلُكَ أَنْ تَغْفِرَ لِي . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا غَرِيبٌ نَعْرِفُهُ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَحَفْصَةُ بِنْتُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ لَا نَعْرِفُهَا وَلَا نَعْرِفُ أَبَاهَا.

ام المؤمنین ام سلمہ رضی الله عنہا کہتی ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے مجھے یہ دعا سکھائی: «اللهم هذا استقبال ليلك واستدبار نهارك وأصوات دعاتك وحضور صلواتك أسألك أن تغفر لي» ”اے اللہ! یہ تیری رات کے آنے اور تیرے دن کے جانے کا وقت ہے اور تجھے یاد کرنے کی آوازوں اور تیری نماز کے لیے پہنچنے کا وقت ہے میں ( ایسے وقت میں ) اپنی مغفرت کے لیے تجھ سے درخواست کرتا ہوں“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- یہ حدیث غریب ہے اور ہم اسے صرف اسی سند سے جانتے ہیں، ۲- حفصہ بنت ابی کثیر کو ہم نہیں جانتے اور نہ ہی ہم ان کے باپ کو جانتے ہیں۔
