Baab Khareed O Farookht Ke Masail Ka Bayan

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يُونُسَ ، حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَنْصُورٌ ، أَنَّ رِبْعِيَّ بْنَ حِرَاشٍ حَدَّثَهُ ، أَنَّ حُذَيْفَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ حَدَّثَهُ ، قَالَ : قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : تَلَقَّتِ الْمَلَائِكَةُ رُوحَ رَجُلٍ مِمَّنْ كَانَ قَبْلَكُمْ ، قَالُوا : أَعَمِلْتَ مِنَ الْخَيْرِ شَيْئًا ؟ قَالَ : كُنْتُ آمُرُ فِتْيَانِي أَنْ يُنْظِرُوا وَيَتَجَاوَزُوا عَنِ الْمُوسِرِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ : فَتَجَاوَزُوا عَنْهُ ، قَالَ أَبُو عَبْد اللَّهِ : وَقَالَ أَبُو مَالِكٍ : عَنْ رِبْعِيٍّ : كُنْتُ أُيَسِّرُ عَلَى الْمُوسِرِ وَأُنْظِرُ الْمُعْسِرَ ، وَتَابَعَهُ شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ ، عَنْ رِبْعِيٍّ ، وَقَالَ أَبُو عَوَانَةَ : عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ ، عَنْ رِبْعِيٍّ أُنْظِرُ الْمُوسِرَ وَأَتَجَاوَزُ عَنِ الْمُعْسِرِ ، وَقَالَ نُعَيْمُ بْنُ أَبِي هِنْدٍ : عَنْ رِبْعِيٍّ ، فَأَقْبَلُ مِنَ الْمُوسِرِ وَأَتَجَاوَزُ عَنِ الْمُعْسِرِ .

Urdu Translation

ہم سے احمد بن یونس نے بیان کیا، کہا کہ ہم سے زہیر نے بیان کیا کہا کہ ہم سے منصور نے، ان سے ربعی بن حراش نے بیان کیا اور ان سے حذیفہ بن یمان رضی اللہ عنہ نے بیان کیا کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا، تم سے پہلے گذشتہ امتوں کے کسی شخص کی روح کے پاس ( موت کے وقت ) فرشتے آئے اور پوچھا کہ تو نے کچھ اچھے کام بھی کئے ہیں؟ روح نے جواب دیا کہ میں اپنے نوکروں سے کہا کرتا تھا کہ وہ مالدار لوگوں کو ( جو ان کے مقروض ہوں ) مہت دے دیا کریں اور ان پر سختی نہ کریں۔ اور محتاجوں کو معاف کر دیا کریں۔ راوی نے بیان کیا کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا، پھر فرشتوں نے بھی اس سے درگزر کیا اور سختی نہیں کی اور ابومالک نے ربعی سے ( اپنی روایت میں یہ الفاظ ) بیان کئے ہیں ”کھاتے کماتے کے ساتھ ( اپنا حق لیتے وقت ) نرم معاملہ کرتا تھا اور تنگ حال مقروض کو مہلت دیتا تھا۔ اس کی متابعت شعبہ نے کی ہے۔ ان سے عبدالملک نے اور ان سے ربعی نے بیان کیا، ابوعوانہ نے کہا کہ ان سے عبدالملک نے ربعی سے بیان کیا کہ ( اس روح نے یہ الفاظ کہے تھے ) میں کھاتے کماتے کو مہلت دے دیتا تھا اور تنگ حال والے مقروض سے درگزر کرتا تھا اور نعیم بن ابی ہند نے بیان کیا، ان سے ربعی نے ( کہ روح نے یہ الفاظ کہے تھے ) میں کھاتے کماتے لوگوں کے ( جن پر میرا کوئی حق واجب ہوتا ) عذر قبول کر لیا کرتا تھا اور تنگ حال والے سے درگزر کر دیتا تھا۔

English Translation

Narrated Hudhaifa: The Prophet said, Before your time the angels received the soul of a man and asked him, 'Did you do any good deeds (in your life)?' He replied, 'I used to order my employees to grant time to the rich person to pay his debts at his convenience.' So Allah said to the angels; Excuse him. Rabi said that (the dead man said), 'I used to be easy to the rich and grant time to the poor.' Or, in another narration, 'grant time to the well-off and forgive the needy,' or, 'accept from the well-off and forgive the needy.'
