Baab Is Bayan May Ke Makhlooq Ki Pedaish Kiunkar Shuru Hui

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَخْلَدٌ ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ ، أَنَّ نَافِعًا حَدَّثَهُ ، أَنَّ الْقَاسِمَ بْنَ مُحَمَّدٍ حَدَّثَهُ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا ، قَالَتْ : حَشَوْتُ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وِسَادَةً فِيهَا تَمَاثِيلُ كَأَنَّهَا نُمْرُقَةٌ فَجَاءَ ، فَقَامَ بَيْنَ الْبَابَيْنِ وَجَعَلَ يَتَغَيَّرُ وَجْهُهُ ، فَقُلْتُ : مَا لَنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : مَا بَالُ هَذِهِ الْوِسَادَةِ ، قَالَتْ : وِسَادَةٌ جَعَلْتُهَا لَكَ لِتَضْطَجِعَ عَلَيْهَا ، قَالَ : أَمَا عَلِمْتِ أَنَّ الْمَلَائِكَةَ لَا تَدْخُلُ بَيْتًا فِيهِ صُورَةٌ وَأَنَّ مَنْ صَنَعَ الصُّورَةَ يُعَذَّبُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ، يَقُولُ : أَحْيُوا مَا خَلَقْتُمْ .

Urdu Translation

ہم سے محمد بن سلام نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم کو مخلد بن یزید نے خبر دی، کہا ہم کو ابن جریج نے خبر دی، انہیں اسماعیل بن امیہ نے، ان سے نافع نے بیان کیا، ان سے قاسم بن محمد نے بیان کیا اور ان سے عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے کہ   میں نے نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے لیے ایک تکیہ بھرا، جس پر تصویریں بنی ہوئی تھیں۔ وہ ایسا ہو گیا جیسے نقشی تکیہ ہوتا ہے۔ پھر نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم تشریف لائے تو دروازے پر کھڑے ہو گئے اور آپ کے چہرے کا رنگ بدلنے لگا۔ میں نے عرض کیا، یا رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ! ہم سے کیا غلطی ہوئی؟ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ یہ تکیہ کیسا ہے؟ میں نے عرض کیا، یہ تو میں نے آپ کے لیے بنایا ہے تاکہ آپ اس پر ٹیک لگا سکیں۔ اس پر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا، کیا تمہیں نہیں معلوم کہ فرشتے اس گھر میں داخل نہیں ہوتے جس میں کوئی تصویر ہوتی ہے اور یہ کہ جو شخص بھی تصویر بنائے گا، قیامت کے دن اسے اس پر عذاب دیا جائے گا۔ اس سے کہا جائے گا کہ جس کی مورت تو نے بنائی، اب اسے زندہ بھی کر کے دکھا۔

English Translation

Narrated `Aisha: I stuffed for the Prophet a pillow decorated with pictures (of animals) which looked like a Namruqa (i.e. a small cushion). He came and stood among the people with excitement apparent on his face. I said, O Allah's Apostle! What is wrong? He said, What is this pillow? I said, I have prepared this pillow for you, so that you may recline on it. He said, Don't you know that angels do not enter a house wherein there are pictures; and whoever makes a picture will be punished on the Day of Resurrection and will be asked to give life to (what he has created)?
