حَدَّثَنَا عَيَّاشُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ التَّيْمِيِّ ، قَالَ :حَدَّثَنِي عُرْوَةُ بْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ ، قَالَ : سَأَلْتُ ابْنَ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ ، أَخْبِرْنِي بِأَشَدِّ شَيْءٍ صَنَعَهُ الْمُشْرِكُونَ بِالنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : بَيْنَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي فِي حِجْرِ الْكَعْبَةِ إِذْ أَقْبَلَ عُقْبَةُ بْنُ أَبِي مُعَيْطٍ , فَوَضَعَ ثَوْبَهُ فِي عُنُقِهِ , فَخَنَقَهُ خَنْقًا شَدِيدًا , فَأَقْبَلَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ حَتَّى أَخَذَ بِمَنْكِبِهِ وَدَفَعَهُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ أَتَقْتُلُونَ رَجُلا أَنْ يَقُولَ رَبِّيَ اللَّهُ سورة غافر آية 28 الْآيَةَ . تَابَعَهُ ابْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ ، قُلْتُ لِعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو . وَقَالَ عَبْدَةُ ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قِيلَ لِعَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ ، وَقَالَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو : عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، حَدَّثَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ الْعَاصِ .

Urdu Translation

ہم سے عیاش بن ولید نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے ولید بن مسلم نے بیان کیا، کہا مجھ سے اوزاعی نے بیان کیا، ان سے یحییٰ بن ابی کثیر نے بیان کیا، ان سے محمد بن ابراہیم تیمی نے بیان کیا کہ مجھ سے عروہ بن زبیر نے بیان کیا کہ میں نے عبداللہ بن عمرو بن عاص رضی اللہ عنہما سے پوچھا کہ   مجھے مشرکیں کے سب سے سخت ظلم کے متعلق بتاؤ جو مشرکین نے نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ کیا تھا۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم حطیم میں نماز پڑھ رہے تھے کہ عقبہ بن ابی معیط آیا اور ظالم اپنا کپڑا نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی گردن مبارک میں پھنسا کر زور سے آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کا گلا گھونٹنے لگا اتنے میں ابوبکر صدیق رضی اللہ عنہ آ گئے اور انہوں نے اس بدبخت کا کندھا پکڑ کر نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس سے اسے ہٹا دیا اور کہا کہ تم لوگ ایک شخص کو صرف اس لیے مار ڈالنا چاہتے ہو کہ وہ کہتا ہے کہ میرا رب اللہ ہے الآیۃ۔ عیاش بن ولید کے ساتھ اس روایت کی متابعت ابن اسحاق نے کی ( اور بیان کیا کہ ) مجھ سے یحییٰ بن عروہ نے بیان کیا اور ان سے عروہ نے کہ میں نے عبداللہ بن عمرو رضی اللہ عنہما سے پوچھا اور عبدہ نے بیان کیا، ان سے ہشام نے، ان سے ان کے والد نے کہ عمرو بن العاص رضی اللہ عنہ سے کہا گیا اور محمد بن عمرو نے بیان کیا، ان سے ابوسلمہ نے، اس میں یوں ہے کہ مجھ سے عمرو بن العاص رضی اللہ عنہ نے بیان کیا۔

English Translation

Narrated `Urwa bin Az-Zubair: I asked Ibn `Amr bin Al-As, Tell me of the worst thing which the pagans did to the Prophet. He said, While the Prophet was praying in the Hijr of the Ka`ba; `Uqba bin Abi Mu'ait came and put his garment around the Prophet's neck and throttled him violently. Abu Bakr came and caught him by his shoulder and pushed him away from the Prophet and said, Do you want to kill a man just because he says, 'My Lord is Allah?'
