Sahih Bukhari 5246 - The Book Of (The Wedlock)

Baab Nikah Ke Masail Ka Bayan

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ سَيَّارٍ ، عَنْ الشَّعْبِيِّ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : إِذَا دَخَلْتَ لَيْلًا فَلَا تَدْخُلْ عَلَى أَهْلِكَ حَتَّى تَسْتَحِدَّ الْمُغِيبَةُ وَتَمْتَشِطَ الشَّعِثَةُ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : فَعَلَيْكَ بِالْكَيْسِ الْكَيْسِ . تَابَعَهُ عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ وَهْبٍ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : فِي الْكَيْسِ .

Urdu Translation

ہم سے محمد بن ولید نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے محمد بن جعفر نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے شعبہ نے بیان کیا، ان سے سیار نے، ان سے شعبی نے اور ان سے جابر بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ عنہما نے کہ   نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ( غزوہ تبوک سے واپسی کے وقت ) فرمایا، جب رات کے وقت تم مدینہ میں پہنچو تو اس وقت تک اپنے گھروں میں نہ جانا جب تک ان کی بیویاں جو مدینہ منورہ میں موجود نہیں تھے، اپنا موئے زیر ناف صاف نہ کر لیں اور جن کے بال پراگندہ ہوں وہ کنگھا نہ کر لیں۔ جابر رضی اللہ عنہ نے بیان کیا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ پھر ضروری ہے کہ جب تم گھر پہنچو تو خوب خوب «كيس» کیجؤ۔ شعبی کے ساتھ اس حدیث کو عبیداللہ نے بھی وہب بن کیسان سے، انہوں نے جابر رضی اللہ عنہ سے، انہوں نے نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے روایت کیا، اس میں بھی «كيس» کا ذکر ہے۔

English Translation

Narrated Jabir bin `Abdullah: The Prophet said, If you enter (your town) at night (after coming from a journey), do not enter upon your family till the woman whose husband was absent (from the house) shaves her pubic hair and the woman with unkempt hair, combs her hair Allah's Apostle further said, (O Jabir!) Seek to have offspring, seek to have offspring!
