It was narrated from Al-'Abbas bin 'Abdul Muttalib that he heard the Messenger of Allah ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) say: When a person prostates, he prostates on seven part of the body: His face, his hands, his knees and his feet.

دَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا بَكْرٌ وَهُوَ ابْنُ مُضَرَ، عَنِ ابْنِ الْهَادِ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ عَامِرِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، عَنِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: إِذَا سَجَدَ الْعَبْدُ سَجَدَ مَعَهُ سَبْعَةُ أَطْرَافٍ: وَجْهُهُ، وَكَفَّاهُ، وَرُكْبَتَاهُ، وَقَدَمَاهُ

  ۔ حضرت عباس بن عبد المطلب ‌رضی ‌اللہ ‌عنہ ‌ ‌ سے روایت ہے کہ انہوں نے رسول اللہﷺ کو فرماتے ہوئے سنا : ’’جب بندہ سجدہ کرتا ہے تو اس کے ساتھ سات اطراف ( کنارے یا اعضاء ) اس کا چہرہ ، اس کی دونوں ہتھیلیاں ، اس کے دونوں گھٹنے اور اس کے دونوں قدم سجدہ کرتے ہیں ۔ ‘ ‘
