Anas reported: The Messenger of Allah ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) said: Observe moderation in prostration, and let none of you stretch out his forearms (on the ground) like a dog.

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «اعْتَدِلُوا فِي السُّجُودِ وَلَا يَبْسُطْ أَحَدُكُمْ ذِرَاعَيْهِ انْبِسَاطَ الْكَلْبِ»

  وکیع نے شعبہ سے ، انہوں نے قتادہ سے اور انہوں نے حضرت انس ‌رضی ‌اللہ ‌عنہ ‌ ‌ سے روایت کی ، انہوں نے کہا : رسول اللہﷺ نے فرمایا : ’’ سجدے میں اعتدال اختیار کرو اور کوئی شخص اس طرح اپنے بازور ( زمین پر ) نہ بچھائے جس طرح کتا بچھاتا ہے ۔ ‘ ‘
