وحَدَّثَنِي الْحَكَمُ بْنُ مُوسَى الْقَنْطَرِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ، ح قَالَ: وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَالِدٍ، وَأَبُو أُسَامَةَ، جَمِيعًا عَنْ هِشَامٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ «أَنَّهُ نَهَى أَنْ يُصَلِّيَ الرَّجُلُ مُخْتَصِرًا» وَفِي رِوَايَةِ أَبِي بَكْرِ قَالَ: نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ

Urdu Translation

  حکم بن موسیٰ قنطری نے کہا : ہمیں عبداللہ بن مبارک نے حدیث سنائی ، نیز ابو بکر ابن ابی شیبہ نے کہا : ہمیں ابو خالد اور ابو اسامہ نے حدیث سنائی ، ان سب نے ہشام سے ، انھوں نے محمد ( بن سیرین ) سے ، انھوں نے حضرت ابو ہریرہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے اور انھوں نے نبی ﷺ سے روایت کی کہ آپ نے س بات سے منع فرمایا کہ کوئی آدمی پہلو پر ہاتھ رکھے ہوئے نماز پڑھے ۔ امام مسلم کے استاد ابو بکر کی روایت میں ( نبی ﷺ کے بجائے ) ‘ ‘ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے منع فرمایا ’’ کے الفاظ ہیں ۔

English Translation

Abu Huraira reported from the Messenger of Allah ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) that he forbade keeping one's hand on one's waist while praying, and in the narration of Abu Bakr (the words are): The Messenger of Allah ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) forbade to do so.
