حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ الدَّسْتُوَائِيُّ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ مُعَيْقِيبٍ، قَالَ: ذَكَرَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْمَسْحَ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ يَعْنِي الْحَصَى قَالَ: «إِنْ كُنْتَ لَا بُدَّ فَاعِلًا فَوَاحِدَةً»

Urdu Translation

  ہمیں وکیع نے حدیث سنائی ، کہا : ہمیں ہشام دستوائی نے حدیث سنائی ، انھوں نے یحییٰ بن ابی کثیر سے ، انھوں نے ابو سلمہ سے اور انھوں نے حضرت معیقیب رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت کی کہ نبی اکرم ﷺ نے مسجد میں ہاتھ سے کنکریاں صاف کرنے کا تذکروہ کیا اور فرمایا : ‘ ‘ اگر تمھارے لیے اسے کیے بغیر چارہ نہ ہو تو ایک بار ( کر لو ۔ ) ’’

English Translation

Mu'aiqib quoted the Messenger of Allah ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) mentioning the removal of pebbles from the ground where he prostrated himself. He (the Prophet) said: It you must do so, do it only once.
