Abu Rafi' reported: I saw Abu Huraira performing prostration (while reciting this verse: ) When the heaven burst asunder. I said to him: Do you prostrate yourself (while reciting) i? He said: Yes, I saw my best Friend ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) prostrating himself on (the recital of this verse) and I shall continue prostrating till I meet him. Shu'ba asked: Do you mean (by Friend) the Messenger of Allah ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ )? He said: Yes.

وَحَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، وَابْنُ بَشَّارٍ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ أَبِي مَيْمُونَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ، قَالَ: رَأَيْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَسْجُدُ فِي إِذَا السَّمَاءُ انْشَقَّتْ فَقُلْتُ: تَسْجُدُ فِيهَا؟ فَقَالَ: نَعَمْ، رَأَيْتُ خَلِيلِي صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَسْجُدُ فِيهَا، فَلَا أَزَالُ أَسْجُدُ فِيهَا حَتَّى أَلْقَاهُ قَالَ شُعْبَةُ: قُلْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: نَعَمْ

  شعبہ نے عطاء بن ابی میمونہ سے انھوں نے ابو رافع سے روایت کی ‘ کہا : میں نے حضرت ابو ہریرہ ‌رضی ‌اللہ ‌عنہ ‌ ‌ کو دیکھا ‘ وہ ( اذا السّماء انشقّت ) میں سجدہ کرتے تھے ۔ میں نے پوچھا : آپ اس میں سجدہ کرتے ہیں؟انھوں نے کہا : ہاں!میں نے اپنے خلیلﷺکو اس سجدہ کرتے دیکھا ‘ اس لیے میں ہمیشہ اس میں سجدہ کرتا رہو ں گا حتی کہ ان سے جا ملوں ۔ شعبہ نے کہا : میں نے ( عطاء سے ) پوچھا : ( خلیل سے مراد ) نبی اکرم ﷺہیں ؟انھوں نے کہا : ہاں ۔
