Abdullah b. 'Umar reported: I heard the Messenger of Allah ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) as saying: Let the bedouin not gain upper hand over you in regard to the name of your prayer. See I (The night prayer should be called) 'Isya' (and the bedouins call it Atama (because) they milk their camels late.

وَحَدَّثَنِي زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، وَابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ، قَالَ زُهَيْرٌ: حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي لَبِيدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، يَقُولُ: «لَا تَغْلِبَنَّكُمُ الْأَعْرَابُ عَلَى اسْمِ صَلَاتِكُمْ، أَلَا إِنَّهَا الْعِشَاءُ، وَهُمْ يُعْتِمُونَ بِالْإِبِلِ

  زہیر نے کہا : ہم سے سفیان بن عینہ نے ابو لبید سے ، انھوں نے ابو سلمہ سے اورانھوں نے حضرت عبداللہ بن عمر ‌رضی ‌اللہ ‌عنہ ‌ ‌ سے روایت کی ، کہا : میں نے رسول اللہ ﷺ کو یہ فرماتے ہوئے سنا : ’’تمھاری نماز کے نام پر تمھارے گنوار لوگ غالب نہ آجائیں ، خبردار !یہ عشاء ہے ، وہ اونٹنیوں کا دودھ دوہنے کی وجہ سے اندھیرا کر دیتے ہیں ( اور اندھیرے ( عتمہ ) کی بنا پر اس وقت پڑھی جانے والی نماز کو صلاۃ العتمہ ، یعنی اندھیرے کی نماز کہتےہیں
