Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) as saying: Allah descends to the lowest heaven at half of the night or at one-third of the latter part and says: Who is there to supplicate Me so that I answer him? Who is there to ask Me so that I grant him? And then says: Who will lend to One Who is neither indigent nor tyrant? (This hadith has been narrated by Sa'd b. Sa'id with the same chain of transmitters with this addition: Then the Blessed and the Exalted (Lord) stretches His Hands and says: Who will lend to One Who is neither indigent nor tyrant? )

حَدَّثَنِي حَجَّاجُ بْنُ الشَّاعِرِ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَاضِرٌ أَبُو الْمُوَرِّعِ حَدَّثَنَا سَعْدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي ابْنُ مَرْجَانَةَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَنْزِلُ اللَّهُ فِي السَّمَاءِ الدُّنْيَا لِشَطْرِ اللَّيْلِ أَوْ لِثُلُثِ اللَّيْلِ الْآخِرِ فَيَقُولُ مَنْ يَدْعُونِي فَأَسْتَجِيبَ لَهُ أَوْ يَسْأَلُنِي فَأُعْطِيَهُ ثُمَّ يَقُولُ مَنْ يُقْرِضُ غَيْرَ عَدِيمٍ وَلَا ظَلُومٍ قَالَ مُسْلِم ابْنُ مَرْجَانَةَ هُوَ سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ وَمَرْجَانَةُ أُمُّهُ

  محاضر ابومورع نے کہا : ہم سے سعد بن سعید ( بن قیس انصاری ) نے حدیث بیان کی ، انھوں نے کہا : مجھے ابن مرجانہ نے خبر دی ، انوں نے کہامیں نے حضرت ابو ہریرۃ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے سنا وہ کہہ رہے تھے : رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا : "" آدھی رات یا رات کی آخری تہائی کے وقت اللہ تعالیٰ آسمان دنیا پر نزول فرماتا ہے اور کہتا ہے : کون مجھ سے دعا کرے گا کہ میں اس کی دعا قبول کروں ۔ یامجھ سے سوال کرے میں اسے عطا کرو؟پھر فرماتا ہے : کون اس ( ذات ) کو قرض دےگا جو نہ محتاج ہے اور نہ حق مارنے والی ہے ( اللہ تعالیٰ کو ) ؟ "" امام مسلمؒ نے کہا : ابن مرجانہ سے مراد سعید بن عبداللہ ( ابو العثمان المدنی ) ہیں اور مرجانہ ان کی والدہ ہیں ۔
