حَدَّثَنِي عَمْرٌو النَّاقِدُ وَزُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ يَبْلُغُ بِهِ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَا أَذِنَ اللَّهُ لِشَيْءٍ مَا أَذِنَ لِنَبِيٍّ يَتَغَنَّى بِالْقُرْآنِ

Urdu Translation

  سفیان بن عیینہ نے زہری سے انھوں نے ابو سلمہ سے اور انھوں نے حضرت ابو ہریرہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت کی وہ اس ( فر ما ن ) کو نبی صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم تک پہنچا تے تھے آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فر ما یا : " اللہ تعا لیٰ نے ( کبھی ) کسی چیز پر اس قدر کان نہیں دھرا ( توجہ سے نہیں سنا ) جتنا کسی خوش آواز نبی ( کی آواز ) پر کان دھرا جس نے خوش الحانی سے قراءت کی ۔

English Translation

Abu Huraira reported this directly from the Messenger of Allah ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ): God has not listened to anything as He listens to a Prophet reciting the Qur'an in a sweet voice.
