Ibn 'Umar rep rte that Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) combined the sunset and 'Isha ' prayers at Muzdalifa. He observed three rak'ahs of the sunset prayer and two rak'ahs of the 'Isha' prayer with one Iqama.

وحَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنَا الثَّوْرِيُّ، عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ كُهَيْلٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ: «جَمَعَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَيْنَ الْمَغْرِبِ وَالْعِشَاءِ بِجَمْعٍ، صَلَّى الْمَغْرِبَ ثَلَاثًا وَالْعِشَاءَ رَكْعَتَيْنِ بِإِقَامَةٍ وَاحِدَةٍ»

  ۔ ( سفیان ) ثوری نے سلمہ بن کہیل سے ، انھوں نے سعید بن جبیر سے اور انھوں نے ابن عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت کی کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے مزدلفہ میں مغرب اورعشاء کی نمازیں جمع کیں ، آپ نے ایک ہی اقامت سے مغرب کی تین اور عشاء کی دو رکعتیں اداکیں ۔
