وحَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَاتِمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي عَطَاءٌ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عُبَيْدَ بْنَ عُمَيْرٍ، يُخْبِرُ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عَائِشَةَ، تُخْبِرُ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَمْكُثُ عِنْدَ زَيْنَبَ بِنْتِ جَحْشٍ فَيَشْرَبُ عِنْدَهَا عَسَلًا، قَالَتْ: فَتَوَاطَأْتُ أَنَا وَحَفْصَةُ أَنَّ أَيَّتَنَا مَا دَخَلَ عَلَيْهَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَلْتَقُلْ: إِنِّي أَجِدُ مِنْكَ رِيحَ مَغَافِيرَ، أَكَلْتَ مَغَافِيرَ؟ فَدَخَلَ عَلَى إِحْدَاهُمَا، فَقَالَتْ ذَلِكَ لَهُ، فَقَالَ: «بَلْ شَرِبْتُ عَسَلًا عِنْدَ زَيْنَبَ بِنْتِ جَحْشٍ، وَلَنْ أَعُودَ لَهُ»، فَنَزَلَ: {لِمَ تُحَرِّمُ مَا أَحَلَّ اللهُ لَكَ} [التحريم: 1] إِلَى قَوْلِهِ: {إِنْ تَتُوبَا} [التحريم: 4] لِعَائِشَةَ وَحَفْصَةَ، {وَإِذْ أَسَرَّ النَّبِيُّ إِلَى بَعْضِ أَزْوَاجِهِ حَدِيثًا} [التحريم: 3]، لِقَوْلِهِ: «بَلْ شَرِبْتُ عَسَلًا

Urdu Translation

  عبید بن عمیر نے خبر دی کہ انہوں نے حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے سنا ، وہ بتا رہی تھیں کہ نبی صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم زینب بنت حجش رضی اللہ عنہا کے ہاں ٹھہرتے اور ان کے پاس سے شہد نوش فرماتے تھے : کہا : میں اور حفصہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے اتفاق کیا کہ ہم میں سے جس کے پاس بھی نبی صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ( پہلے ) تشریف لائیں ، وہ کہے : مجھے آپ سے مغافیر کی بو محسوس ہو رہی ہے ۔ کیا آپ نے مغافیر کھائی ہے؟آپ ان میں سے ایک کے پاس تشریف لے گئے تو انہوں نے آپ کے سامنے یہی بات کی ، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا : " بلکہ میں نے زینب بنت حجش کے ہاں سے شہد پیا ہے ۔ اور آئندہ ہرگز نہیں پیوں گا ۔ " اس پر ( قرآن ) نازل ہوا : " آپ کیوں حرام ٹھہراتے ہیں جو اللہ نے آپ کے لیے حلال کیا ہے " اس فرمان تک : " اگر تم دونوں توبہ کرو ۔ " ۔ ۔ یہ عائشہ اور حفصہ رضی اللہ عنہا کے لیے کہا گیا ۔ ۔ " اور جب نبی صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اپنی کسی بیوی سے راز کی بات کہی " اس سے مراد ( آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کا یہ فرمان ) ہے : " بلکہ میں نے شہد پیا ہے <انڈر لائن >

English Translation

A'isha (Allah be pleased with her) narrated that Allah's Apostle ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) used to spend time with Zainab daughter of Jahsh and drank honey at her house. She ('A'isha further) said: I and Hafsa agreed that one whom Allah's Apostle ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) would visit first should say: I notice that you have an odour of the Maghafir (gum of mimosa). He (the Holy Prophet) visited one of them and she said to him like this, whereupon he said: I have taken honey in the house of Zainab bint Jabsh and I will never do it again. It was at this (that the following verse was revealed): 'Why do you hold to be forbidden what Allah has made lawful for you... (up to). If you both ('A'isha and Hafsa) turn to Allah up to: And when the Prophet confided an information to one of his wives (lxvi. 3). This refers to his saying: But I have taken honey.
