Baab Emaan Ka Bayan

وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، وَأَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، وَاللَّفْظُ لَأَبِي كُرَيْبٍ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ التَّيْمِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ، قَالَ: دَخَلْتُ الْمَسْجِدَ وَرَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ جَالِسٌ، فَلَمَّا غَابَتِ الشَّمْسُ، قَالَ: «يَا أَبَا ذَرٍّ، هَلْ تَدْرِي أَيْنَ تَذْهَبُ هَذِهِ؟» قَالَ: قُلْتُ: اللهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَعْلَمُ، قَالَ: فَإِنَّهَا تَذْهَبُ فَتَسْتَأْذِنُ فِي السُّجُودِ، فَيُؤْذَنُ لَهَا وَكَأَنَّهَا قَدْ قِيلَ لَهَا: ارْجِعِي مِنْ حَيْثُ جِئْتِ، فَتَطْلُعُ مِنْ مَغْرِبِهَا ، قَالَ: ثُمَّ قَرَأَ فِي قِرَاءَةِ عَبْدِ اللهِ: وَذَلِكَ مُسْتَقَرٌّ لَهَ

Urdu Translation

  ابو معاویہ نے کہا : ہمیں اعمش نے ابراہیم تیمی سے سابقہ سند کے ساتھ حضرت ابو ذر ‌رضی ‌اللہ ‌عنہ ‌ ‌ سے روایت کی ، انہوں نےکہا : میں مسجد میں داخل ہوا جبکہ رسول اللہ ﷺ تشریف فرماتھے ، جب سورج غائب ہو گیا تو آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا : ’’ اے ابو ذر!کیا تم جانتے ہو یہ سورج کہاں جاتا ہے ؟ کہا : میں نے عرض کی : اللہ اور اس کا رسول بہتر جاننے والے ہیں ۔ فرمایا : ’’ یہ جاتا ہے ، پھر سجدے کی اجازت مانگتا ہے تو اسے سجدے کی اجازت دی جاتی ہے ، ( پھر یوں ہو گا کہ ) جیسے اس سے کہہ دیا گیاہو ( اس میں اشارہ ہے کہ ہم حقیقت کو نہیں سمجھ سکتے ، ہمیں تمثیلا اس کی خبر دی جا رہی ہے ) کہ جس طرف سے آئے تھے ، ادھر لوٹ جاؤ تویہ اپنی غروب ہونےوالے سمت سے طلوع ہو جائے گا ‘ ذر ‌رضی ‌اللہ ‌عنہ ‌ ‌ نے کہا : پھر آپ نے ﴿تَجْرِي لِمُسْتَقَرٍّ لَهَا﴾کے بجائے ) عبد اللہ بن مسعود کی روایت کردہ قراءت کے مطابق پڑھا : وذلك مستقرلها’’یہ اس کا مستقر ہے ۔ ‘ ‘

English Translation

Abu Dharr reported: I entered the mosque and the Messenger of Allah ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) was sitting there. When the sun disappeared (from the sight) he said: O Abu Dharr! Do you know where it goes? He (the narrator) said: Allah and His Apostle know best. He (the Holy Prophet) said. Verily it goes and begs permission, for prostration (to Allah) and the permission is granted to it. Once it would be said: Return to the place whence you came, and then it would rise from its setting place. Then he, after the recitation of 'Abdullah recited it: And that is its appointed term.
