Fadala b. Ubaid al-Ansari reported: A necklace having gold and gems in it was brought to Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) in Khaibar and it was one of the spoils of war and was put to sale. Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) said: The gold used in it should be separated, and then Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) further said: (Sell) gold for gold with equal weight.

حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو الطَّاهِرِ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ سَرْحٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو هَانِئٍ الْخَوْلَانِيُّ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عُلَيَّ بْنَ رَبَاحٍ اللَّخْمِيَّ، يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ فَضَالَةَ بْنَ عُبَيْدٍ الْأَنْصَارِيَّ، يَقُولُ: أُتِيَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ بِخَيْبَرَ بِقِلَادَةٍ فِيهَا خَرَزٌ وَذَهَبٌ، وَهِيَ مِنَ الْمَغَانِمِ تُبَاعُ، فَأَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِالذَّهَبِ الَّذِي فِي الْقِلَادَةِ فَنُزِعَ وَحْدَهُ، ثُمَّ قَالَ لَهُمْ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «الذَّهَبُ بِالذَّهَبِ وَزْنًا بِوَزْنٍ»

  علی بن رباح لخمی نے کہا : میں نے حضرت فضالہ بن عبید رضی اللہ عنہ سے سنا ، وہ کہہ رہے تھے : رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس ، جبکہ آپ خیبر میں تھے ، ایک ہار لایا گیا ، اس میں نگینے تھے اور سونا تھا اور وہ ان غنائم میں سے تھا جو فروخت کی جا رہی تھیں تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اس سونے کے بارے میں حکم دیا جو ہار میں تھا ، تو اکیلے اسی کو الگ کر دیا گیا ، پھر رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ان لوگوں سے ( جو لین دین کر رہے تھے ) فرمایا : " سونے کے عوض سونا برابر برابر وزن کا ( خریدو اور بیچو ۔ ) "
