حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى التَّمِيمِيُّ، أَخْبَرَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، ح وحَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ، وَاللَّفْظُ لَهُ، حَدَّثَنَا مَرْوَانُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ الْفَزَارِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدٌ، حَدَّثَنِي ثَابِتٌ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَأَى شَيْخًا يُهَادَى بَيْنَ ابْنَيْهِ، فَقَالَ: «مَا بَالُ هَذَا؟» قَالُوا: نَذَرَ أَنْ يَمْشِيَ، قَالَ: «إِنَّ اللهَ عَنْ تَعْذِيبِ هَذَا نَفْسَهُ لَغَنِيٌّ»، وَأَمَرَهُ أَنْ يَرْكَبَ

Urdu Translation

  حضرت انس رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ایک بوڑھے آدمی کو دیکھا وہ اپنے دو بیٹیوں کے سہارے چلا کر لے جایا جا رہا تھا ، آپ نے پوچھا : " اس کا کیا معاملہ ہے؟ " لوگوں نے کہا : اس نے پیدل چلنے کی نذر مانی ہے ۔ آپ نے فرمایا : " بلاشبہ اللہ تعالیٰ اس شخص کے اپنے آپ کو عذاب دینے سے بے نیاز ہے ۔ " اور ( اس کے پاس پیدل چل کر جانے کی استطاعت ہی نہ تھی ، اس لیے ) آپ نے اسے سوار ہونے کا حکم دیا

English Translation

Anas reported that Allah's Apostle ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) saw an old man being supported between his two sons. He (the Holy Prophet) said: What is the matter with him? They said: He had taken the vow to walk (on foot to the Ka'ba). Thereupon he (Allah's Apoitle) said: Allah is indifferent to his inflicting upon himself chastisement, and he commanded him to ride.
