Baab Kisi Ko Milne Wali Chez Jis Ke Malik Ka Pata Na Ho

وحَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ بِشْرٍ الْعَبْدِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، أَخْبَرَنِي سَلَمَةُ بْنُ كُهَيْلٍ، أَوْ أَخْبَرَ الْقَوْمَ وَأَنَا فِيهِمْ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ سُوَيْدَ بْنَ غَفَلَةَ، قَالَ: خَرَجْتُ مَعَ زَيْدِ بْنِ صُوحَانَ، وَسَلْمَانَ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ، فَوَجَدْتُ سَوْطًا، وَاقْتَصَّ الْحَدِيثَ بِمِثْلِهِ إِلَى قَوْلِهِ، فَاسْتَمْتَعْتُ بِهَا، قَالَ شُعْبَةُ: فَسَمِعْتُهُ بَعْدَ عَشْرِ سِنِينَ، يَقُولُ: عَرَّفَهَا عَامًا وَاحِدًا

Urdu Translation

  بہز نے ہمیں حدیث بیان کی ، کہا : ہمیں شعبہ نے حدیث بیان کی ، کہا : مجھے سلمہ بن کہیل نے خبر دی یا انہوں نے کچھ لوگوں کو خبر دی اور میں بھی ان میں ( شامل ) تھا ، انہوں نے کہا : میں نے سوید بن غفلہ سے سنا ، انہوں نے کہا : میں زید بن صُوحان اور سلمان بن ربیعہ کے ساتھ ( سفر پر ) نکلا ، مجھے ایک کوڑا ملا ۔ ۔ انہوں نے اسی ( سابقہ روایت ) کے مانند اس قول تک حدیث بیان کی : " پھر میں نے اسے استعمال کیا ۔ " شعبہ نے کہا : میں نے دس سال بعد ان سے سنا ، وہ کہہ رہے تھے : انہوں ان سے سنا ، وہ کہہ رہے تھے : انہوں نے ایک سال اس کی تشہیر کی تھی

English Translation

Shu'ba reported: Salama b. Kuhail informed me or he informed people and I was among them. He said: I heard Sawaid b. Ghafala who reported: I went out along with Zaid b. Suhan and Salman b. Rabi'a, and found a whip, the rest of the hadith is the same up to the words: I made use of that. Shu'ba said: I heard him say after ten years, that he made an announcement of it for one year.
