It has been narrarted on the authority of Abu Huraira that the Messenger of Allah ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) said: People are subservient to the Quraish: the Muslims among them being subservient to the Muslims among them, and the disbelievers among the people being subservient to the disbelievers among them.

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ بْنِ قَعْنَبٍ، وَقُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا الْمُغِيرَةُ يَعْنِيَانِ الْحِزَامِيَّ، ح وحَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، وَعَمْرٌو النَّاقِدُ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، كِلَاهُمَا، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ، عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: - وَفِي حَدِيثِ زُهَيْرٍ: يَبْلُغُ بِهِ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وقَالَ عَمْرٌو: رِوَايَةً - «النَّاسُ تَبَعٌ لِقُرَيْشٍ فِي هَذَا الشَّأْنِ، مُسْلِمُهُمْ لِمُسْلِمِهِمْ، وَكَافِرُهُمْ لِكَافِرِهِمْ

  عبداللہ بن مسلمہ بن قعنب اور قتیبہ بن سعید نے مغیرہ حزامی سے اور زہیر بن حرب اور عمرو ناقد نے سفیان بن عیینہ سے ( مغیرہ اور سفیان ) دونوں نے ابوزناد سے انہوں نے اعرج سے اور انہوں نے حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت کی ، کہا : رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا : اور زہیر کی حدیث میں ہے ، انہوں ( حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ ) نے حدیث کی نسبت رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم تک پہنچائی ( آپ سے بیان کی ) اور عمرو نے کہا : ( حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے ) آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے روایت کی : " لوگ اس اہم معاملے ( حکومت ) میں قریش کے تابع ہیں ، مسلمان ، قریشی مسلمانوں کے پیچھے چلنے والے ہیں اور کافر ، قریشی کافروں کے پیچھے چلنے والے ہیں
