This tradition has been handed down through a different chain of transmitter with the addition of the following words at the end: Do you milk them on the day they arrive at the water? He replied: Yes.

وَحَدَّثَنَاهُ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الدَّارِمِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، عَنِ الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ مِثْلَهُ، غَيْرَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: «إِنَّ اللهَ لَنْ يَتِرَكَ مِنْ عَمَلِكَ شَيْئًا»، وَزَادَ فِي الْحَدِيثِ قَالَ: «فَهَلْ تَحْلُبُهَا يَوْمَ وِرْدِهَا؟» قَالَ: نَعَمْ

  محمد بن یوسف نے اوزاعی سے اسی سند کے ساتھ اسی کے مانند روایت کی مگر انہوں نے کہا : " بلاشبہ اللہ تعالیٰ تمہارے عمل میں سے کسی چیز کو ضائع نہیں کرے گا " اور یہ اضافہ کیا ، آپ نے فرمایا : " جس دن اونٹنیاں پانی پینے کے لیے ( گھاٹ یا چشمے پر ) آتی ہیں تو کیا تم ( ضرورت مندوں ، مسکینوں ، مسافروں کو پلانے کے لیے ) ان کا دودھ دوہتے ہو؟ " اس نے کہا : ہاں ۔
