Another version of the tradition narrated through a different chain of transmitters on the authority of Abu Huraira has the same wording as the previous tradition: Allah takes care of one who goes out in the way of Allah but ends in the words: I would not lag behind any expedition which is undertaken to fight in the way of Allah, the Exalted.

حَدَّثَنِي زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ، عَنْ سُهَيْلٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «تَضَمَّنَ اللهُ لِمَنْ خَرَجَ فِي سَبِيلِهِ» إِلَى قَوْلِهِ «مَا تَخَلَّفْتُ خِلَافَ سَرِيَّةٍ تَغْزُو فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ تَعَالَى»

  سہیل منے اپنے والد ( ابو صالح ) سے ، انہوں نے حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت کی ، کہا : رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا : " جو شخص اللہ کی راہ میں نکلا ، اللہ اس کے لیے اس بات کی ضمانت دیتا ہے " سے لے کر " میں اللہ کی راہ میں لڑنے والے کسی لشکر سے پیچھے نہ رہتا " تک ۔
