Baab Shikar Kerne, Zibah Kiye Jaane Walay Aur Un Janwaron Ka Bayan Jin Ka Gosht Khaya Ja Sakta Hai

حَدَّثَنِي الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ شُجَاعٍ السَّكُونِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُسْهِرٍ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ حَاتِمٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِذَا أَرْسَلْتَ كَلْبَكَ فَاذْكُرِ اسْمَ اللهِ، فَإِنْ أَمْسَكَ عَلَيْكَ، فَأَدْرَكْتَهُ حَيًّا فَاذْبَحْهُ، وَإِنْ أَدْرَكْتَهُ قَدْ قَتَلَ، وَلَمْ يَأْكُلْ مِنْهُ فَكُلْهُ، وَإِنْ وَجَدْتَ مَعَ كَلْبِكَ كَلْبًا غَيْرَهُ، وَقَدْ قَتَلَ فَلَا تَأْكُلْ، فَإِنَّكَ لَا تَدْرِي أَيُّهُمَا قَتَلَهُ، وَإِنْ رَمَيْتَ سَهْمَكَ، فَاذْكُرِ اسْمَ اللهِ، فَإِنْ غَابَ عَنْكَ يَوْمًا، فَلَمْ تَجِدْ فِيهِ إِلَّا أَثَرَ سَهْمِكَ، فَكُلْ إِنْ شِئْتَ، وَإِنْ وَجَدْتَهُ غَرِيقًا فِي الْمَاءِ، فَلَا تَأْكُلْ»

Urdu Translation

  علی بن مسہرنے عاصم سے ، انھوں نے شعبی سے ، انھوں نے حضرت عدی بن حاتم رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت کی ، کہا : رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے مجھ سے فرمایا : " جب تم اپناکتا ( شکار پر ) چھوڑ وتو بسم اللہ پڑھو ، اور اگر وہ تمہارے لئے شکار کو جکڑ لے اور تم اس ( شکار ) کو زندہ پاؤ تو اس کو ذبح کردو ، اور اگر تم شکار کو اس حالت میں پاؤ کہ کتے نے اسے مار ڈالا ہو اور اس میں سے کچھ کھایا نہ ہو ۔ تواس کو بھی کھالو ، اور اگر تم اپنے کتے کے ساتھ ایک اور کتے کو پاؤ اور اس نے شکار کو مار ڈالا ہو ، تو اس کو نہ کھاؤ ، کیونکہ تم نہیں جانتے کہ اسے ان دونوں میں سے کس کتے نے مارا ہے اور اگر تم تیر مارو تو بسم اللہ پڑھو ، پھر اگرف ایک دن تک وہ ( شکار ) تمھیں نہ ملے ( بعد میں ملے ) اور تمھیں اس میں ا پنے تیر کے علاوہ کسی اور چیز کا نشان نہ ملے تو تم چاہو تو اس کو کھالو ، اور اگر وہ تمھیں پانی میں ڈوبا ہوا ملے تو مت کھاؤ ۔ "

English Translation

Adi b. Hatim reported: Allah's Messenger (way peace be upon him) said to me: When you let off your dog, recite the name of Allah, and if it catches (game for you) and you find it alive, then slaughter it; if you find it killed and that (your dog) has eaten nothing out of that, (even then) you may eat it; but if you find along with your dog another dog, and (the game an) dead, then don't eat, for you do not know which of the two has killed it. And if you shoot your arrow, recite the name of Allah, but if it (game) goes out of your sight for a day and you do not find on that but the mark of your arrow, then eat that it you so like, but if you find it drowned in water, then don't eat that.
