This hadith has been reported on the authority of Ibn 'Umar through another chain of transmitters. but with a slight variation of wording.

و حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الرَّبِيعِ وَأَبُو كَامِلٍ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ ح و حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ حَبِيبٍ حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ ح و حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ كِلَاهُمَا عَنْ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ ح و حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي فُدَيْكٍ أَخْبَرَنَا الضَّحَّاكُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عُثْمَانَ كُلُّهُمْ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِمِثْلِ حَدِيثِ اللَّيْثِ وَلَمْ يَذْكُرُوا فِي الْحَدِيثِ وَلَكِنْ تَفَسَّحُوا وَتَوَسَّعُوا وَزَادَ فِي حَدِيثِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قُلْتُ فِي يَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ قَالَ فِي يَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ وَغَيْرِهَا

  ابو ربیع اور الکامل نے کہا : ہمیں حماد نے حدیث بیان کی کہا : ہمیں ایوب نے حدیث سنائی ۔ یحییٰ بن حبیب نے کہا : ہمیں روح نے حدیث سنائی ، محمد را فع نے کہا : ہمیں عبد الرزاق نے حدیث بیان کی ، ان دونوں ( روح اور عبدالرزاق ) نے ابن جریج سے روایت کی ، محمد بن رافع نے کہا : ہمیں ابن ابی فدیک نے حدیث بیان کی ، کہا : ضحاک بن عثمان نے خبر دی ، ان سب ( ایوب ابن جریج اور ضحاک بن عثمان ) نے نافع سے انھوں نے ابن عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے اور انھوں نے نبی صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے لیث کی حدیث کے مانند روایت کی ، انھوں نے اس حدیث میں : " بلکہ کھلے ہو کر بیٹھو اور وسعت پیدا کرو " کے الفاظ بیان نہیں کیے اور ( ابن رافع نے ) ابن جریج کی حدیث میں یہ اضا فہ کیا : میں نے ان ( ابن بن جریج ) سے پو چھا : جمعہ کے دن ؟ " انھوں نے کہا : جمعہ میں اس اور اس کے علاوہ بھی ۔
