حَدَّثَنِيهِ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عُفَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنِي سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ بِلَالٍ، حَدَّثَنِي شَرِيكُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي نَمِرٍ، سَمِعْتُ سَعِيدَ بْنَ الْمُسَيِّبِ، يَقُولُ: حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو مُوسَى الْأَشْعَرِيُّ، هَاهُنَا - وَأَشَارَ لِي سُلَيْمَانُ إِلَى مَجْلِسِ سَعِيدٍ نَاحِيَةَ الْمَقْصُورَةِ - قَالَ أَبُو مُوسَى، خَرَجْتُ أُرِيدُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَوَجَدْتُهُ قَدْ سَلَكَ فِي الْأَمْوَالِ، فَتَبِعْتُهُ فَوَجَدْتُهُ قَدْ دَخَلَ مَالًا، فَجَلَسَ فِي الْقُفِّ، وَكَشَفَ عَنْ سَاقَيْهِ وَدَلَّاهُمَا فِي الْبِئْرِ، وَسَاقَ الْحَدِيثَ بِمَعْنَى حَدِيثِ يَحْيَى بْنِ حَسَّانَ، وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ قَوْلَ سَعِيدٍ: فَأَوَّلْتُهَا قُبُورَهُمْ.

Urdu Translation

  سعید بن عفیر نے کہا : مجھے سلیمان بن بلال نے حدیث بیان کی ، کہا : مجھے شریک بن عبداللہ بن ابی نمر نے حدیث بیان کی ، کہا : میں نے سعید بن مسیب کو یہ کہتے ہوئے سنا کہ مجھے حضرت ابو موسیٰ اشعری رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے اس جگہ ۔ اور سلیمان نے سعید بن مسیب کے بیٹھنے کی جگہ کی جانب اشارہ کیا ۔ حدیث سنائی ۔ ابو موسیٰ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے کہا : میں رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی خدمت میں حاضری کے لئے نکلا ۔ میں نے دیکھا کہ آپ ( لوگوں کے ) باغات کے اندر سے گزر کرگئے ہیں ۔ میں آپ کے پیچھے ہولیا ، میں نے دیکھا کہ آپ ایک باغ کے اندر تشریف لے گئے ہیں ، کنویں کی منڈیر پر بیٹھ گئے ہیں اور اپنی پنڈلیوں سے کپڑا ہٹا کر انھیں کنویں میں لٹکا لیا ہے ، پھر یحییٰ بن حسان کی حدیث کے ہم معنی حدیث بیان کی اور ( اس میں ) حضرت سعید بن مسیب کا قول : " میں نے ان کی قبریں مراد لیں " بیان نہیں کیا ۔

English Translation

Abu Musa. reported: I set out with the intention (of meeting) Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) and came to know that he had gone to the gardens (in the suburb of Medina). I followed him and found him in a garden sitting upon an elevated place round the well with his shanks uncovered which had been dangling in the well. The rest of the hadith is the same but with this variation that there is no mention of the words of Sa'id: all drew a conclusion from it pertaining to their graves.
