حَدَّثَنِي زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَعِيلُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عُلَيَّةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ وَهُوَ ابْنُ صُهَيْبٍ قَالَ سَأَلَ قَتَادَةُ أَنَسًا أَيُّ دَعْوَةٍ كَانَ يَدْعُو بِهَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَكْثَرَ قَالَ كَانَ أَكْثَرُ دَعْوَةٍ يَدْعُو بِهَا يَقُولُ اللَّهُمَّ آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ قَالَ وَكَانَ أَنَسٌ إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَدْعُوَ بِدَعْوَةٍ دَعَا بِهَا فَإِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَدْعُوَ بِدُعَاءٍ دَعَا بِهَا فِيهِ

Urdu Translation

  ) عبدالعزیز بن صہیب نے کہا : قتادہ نے حضرت انس رضی اللہ عنہ سے پوچھا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کون سی دعا کثرت سے مانگا کرتے تھے؟ حضرت انس رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا : آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کثرت سے جو دعا مانگا کرتے تھے وہ یہ تھی کہ آپ کہے : "" اے اللہ! ہمیں دنیا میں بھی اچھائی عطا فرما ، آخرت میں بھی اچھائی عطا فرما اور ہمیں آگ کے عذاب سے محفوظ رکھ ۔ "" کہا : حضرت انس رضی اللہ عنہ جب کوئی ایک دعا مانگنا چاہتے تو یہی دعا مانگتے اور جب بڑی دعا مانگنا چاہتے تو اس میں یہ دعا بھی مانگتے ۔

English Translation

Qatada asked Anas which Supplication Allah's Apostle ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) frequently made. He said: The supplication that he (the Prophet made very frequently is this: O Allah, grant us the good in this world and the good in the Hereafter and save us from the torment of Hell-Fire. He (Qatada) said that whenever Anas had to supplicate he made this very supplication, and whenever he (intended) to make another supplication he (inserted) this very supplication in that.
