حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ، ح، وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رُمْحٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا اللَّيْثُ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ: اسْتَفْتَتْ أُمُّ حَبِيبَةَ بِنْتُ جَحْشٍ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَتْ: إِنِّي أُسْتَحَاضُ فَقَالَ: «إِنَّمَا ذَلِكِ عِرْقٌ فَاغْتَسِلِي ثُمَّ صَلِّي» فَكَانَتْ تَغْتَسِلُ عِنْدَ كُلِّ صَلَاةٍ قَالَ اللَّيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ: «لَمْ يَذْكُرْ ابْنُ شِهَابٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَمَرَ أُمَّ حَبِيبَةَ بِنْتَ جَحْشٍ أَنْ تَغْتَسِلَ عِنْدَ كُلِّ صَلَاةٍ وَلَكِنَّهُ شَيْءٌ فَعَلَتْهُ هِيَ»، وَقَالَ ابْنُ رُمْحٍ فِي رِوَايَتِهِ ابْنَةُ جَحْشٍ وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ أُمَّ حَبِيبَةَ

Urdu Translation

  قتیبہ بن سعید اور محمد بن رمح نے لیث سے ، انہوں نے ابن شہاب سے ، انہوں نے عروہ سے اورانہوں نے حضرت عائشہؓ سے روایت کی ، انہوں نےکہا : ام حبیبہ بنت جحش ؓ نے رسول اللہ ﷺ سے فتویٰ پوچھا او رکہا : مجھے استحاضہ ہے ۔ آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا : ’’یہ ایک رگ ( کا خون ) ہے ۔ تم غسل کرو ، پھر ( حیض کے ایام کے خاتمے پر ) نماز پڑھو ۔ ‘ ‘ تو وہ ہر نماز کےوقت غسل کرتی تھیں ۔ ( امام ) لیث بن سعد نے کہا : ابن شہاب نے یہ نہیں کہا کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے ام حبیبہ بنت جحش کو ہر نماز کے لیے غسل کرنے کا حکم دیا تھا ۔ یہ ایسا کام تھا جو وہ خود کرتی تھیں ۔ لیث کے شاگردوں میں سے ابن رمح نے ابنة جحش کے الفاظ استعمال کیے اور ام احبیبہ نہیں کہا ۔

English Translation

A'isha reported: Umm Habiba b. Jahsh thus asked for a verdict from the Messenger of Allah ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ): I am a woman whose blood keeps flowing (after the menstrual period). He (the Holy Prophet) said: That is only a vein, so take a bath and offer prayer; and she took a bath at the time of every prayer. Laith b. Sa'd said: Ibn Shihab made no mention that the Messenger of Allah ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) had ordered her to take a bath at the time of every prayer, but she did it of her own accord. And in the tradition transmitted by Ibn Rumh there is no mention of Umm Habiba (and there is mention of the daughter of Jahsh only.)
