حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ شُعَيْبِ بْنِ اللَّيْثِ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ جَدِّي، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي عُقَيْلُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ، قَالَ: ابْنُ شِهَابٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ، أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَتْ: «لَمَّا ثَقُلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَاشْتَدَّ بِهِ وَجَعُهُ اسْتَأْذَنَ أَزْوَاجَهُ أَنْ يُمَرَّضَ فِي بَيْتِي، فَأَذِنَّ لَهُ فَخَرَجَ بَيْنَ رَجُلَيْنِ تَخُطُّ رِجْلَاهُ فِي الْأَرْضِ، بَيْنَ عَبَّاسِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ وَبَيْنَ رَجُلٍ آخَرَ» قَالَ عُبَيْدُ اللهِ: فَأَخْبَرْتُ عَبْدَ اللهِ بِالَّذِي قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ: فَقَالَ لِي عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عَبَّاسٍ: «هَلْ تَدْرِي مَنِ الرَّجُلُ الْآخَرُ الَّذِي لَمْ تُسَمِّ عَائِشَةُ؟» قَالَ: قُلْتُ: لَا. قَالَ: ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ: «هُوَ عَلِيٌّ»

Urdu Translation

  عقیل بن خالد نے کہا : ابن شہاب ( زہری ) نے کہا : مجھے عبید اللہ بن عبد اللہ بن عتبہ بن مسعود نے خبر دی کہ رسول اللہﷺ کی زوجہ حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے کہا : جب رسول اللہﷺ کی بیماری شدت اختیار کر گئی اور آپ کی تکلیف میں اضافہ ہو گیا تو آپ نے اپنی بیویوں سے اجازت طلب کی کہ ان کی تیمار داری میرے گھر میں ہو ، انہوں نے اجازت دے دی ، پھر آپ دو آدمیوں کے درمیان ( ان کا سہارا لے کر ) نکلے ، آپ کے دونوں پاؤں زمین پر لکیر بناتے جا رہے تھے ( اور آپ ) عباس بن عبد المطلب ‌رضی ‌اللہ ‌عنہ ‌ ‌ اور ایک دوسرے آدمی کے درمیان تھے ۔ ( حدیث کے راوی ) عبید اللہ نے کہا : عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے جو کچھ کہا تھا ، میں نے اس کا تذکرہ عبد اللہ ( بن عباس ) رضی اللہ عنہما سے کیا تو انہوں نے مجھ سے کہا : کیا تم جانتے ہو وہ آدمی کون تھا جس کا حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے نام نہیں لیا؟ انہوں نے کہا : میں نے کہا : نہیں ۔ حضرت ابن عباس ‌رضی ‌اللہ ‌عنہ ‌ ‌ نے کہا : وہ حضرت علی بن ابی طالب ‌رضی ‌اللہ ‌عنہ ‌ ‌ تھے ۔

English Translation

A'isha, the wife of the Apostle ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ), said: When the Messenger of Allah ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) fell ill and his illness became serious, he asked permission from his wives to stay in my house during his illness. They gave him permission to do so. He stepped out (of'A'isha's apartment for prayer) supported by two persons. (He was so much weak) that his feet dragged on the ground and he was being supported by 'Abbas b. 'Abd al-Muttalib and another person. 'Ubaidullah said: I informed 'Abdullah (b. 'Abbas) about that which 'A'isha had said. 'Abdullah b. 'Abbas said: Do you know the man whose name 'A'isha did not mention? He said: No. Ibn 'Abbas said: It was 'Ali.
