Abdullah bin Thalabah said (the narrator Ahmad bin salih said: He, i. e “Abd al-Razzaq, said: He is ‘Adawl. Abu Dawud said: Ahmed bin Salih said: He is ‘Adhri): The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم delivered a speech before the closing fast (‘Id) by two days. He then transmitted the tradition like that of al Muqri (Abdullah bin Yazid).

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ وَقَالَ ابْنُ شِهَابٍ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ ثَعْلَبَةَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ ابْنُ صَالِحٍ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ الْعَدَوِيُّ قال أَبُو دَاوُدَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ الْعَدَوِيُّ:‏‏‏‏ :‏‏‏‏ خَطَبَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ النَّاسَ قَبْلَ الْفِطْرِ بِيَوْمَيْنِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏بِمَعْنَى حَدِيثِ الْمُقْرِئِ.

عبدالرزاق کہتے ہیں ابن جریج نے ہمیں خبر دی ہے، وہ کہتے ہیں کہ   ابن شہاب نے اپنی روایت میں عبداللہ بن ثعلبہ ( جزم کے ساتھ بغیر شک کے ) کہا ۱؎۔ احمد بن صالح کہتے ہیں کہ عبدالرزاق نے عبداللہ بن ثعلبہ کے تعلق سے کہا ہے کہ وہ عدوی ہیں۔ ابوداؤد کہتے ہیں کہ احمد بن صالح نے عبداللہ صالح کو عذری کہا ہے ۲؎، رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے عید کے دو دن پہلے لوگوں کو خطبہ دیا، یہ خطبہ مقری ( عبداللہ بن یزید ) کی روایت کے مفہوم پر مشتمل تھا۔
