حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو تَوْبَةَ الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا عِيسَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيل، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ قَيْسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ جَرِيرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ أَلَا تُرِيحُنِي مِنْ ذِي الْخَلَصَةِ فَأَتَاهَا فَحَرَّقَهَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ بَعَثَ رَجُلًا مِنْ أَحْمَسَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُبَشِّرُهُ يُكْنَى أَبَا أَرْطَاةَ.

Urdu Translation

جریر رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   مجھ سے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: کیا تم مجھے ذو الخلصہ ۱؎ سے آرام نہیں پہنچاؤ گے؟ ۲؎، یہ سن کر جریر رضی اللہ عنہ وہاں آئے اور اسے جلا دیا پھر انہوں نے قبیلہ احمس کے ایک آدمی کو جس کی کنیت ابوارطاۃ تھی رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس بھیجا کہ وہ آپ کو اس کی خوشخبری دیدے۔

English Translation

Jarir (bin Abd Allaah) said “The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said to me “Why do you not give me rest from Dhu Al Khulasah? He went there and burned it. He then sent a man from Ahmas to the Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم to give him good tidings. His surname was Artah.
