حَدَّثَنَا الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ أَبُو خَالِدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ الْمِنْهَالِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ مَنْ عَادَ مَرِيضًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏لَمْ يَحْضُرْ أَجَلُهُ فَقَالَ عِنْدَهُ سَبْعَ مِرَارٍ:‏‏‏‏ أَسْأَلُ اللَّهَ الْعَظِيمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏رَبَّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنْ يَشْفِيَكَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏إِلَّا عَافَاهُ اللَّهُ مِنْ ذَلِكَ الْمَرَضِ .

Urdu Translation

عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ   نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: جب کوئی شخص کسی ایسے شخص کی عیادت کرے جس کی موت کا وقت ابھی قریب نہ آیا ہو اور اس کے پاس سات مرتبہ یہ دعا پڑھے: «أسأل الله العظيم رب العرش العظيم» میں عظمت والے اللہ جو عرش عظیم کا مالک ہے سے دعا کرتا ہوں کہ وہ تم کو شفاء دے تو اللہ اسے اس مرض سے شفاء دے گا ۔

English Translation

Narrated Abdullah ibn Abbas: The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: If anyone visits a sick whose time (of death) has not come, and says with him seven times: I ask Allah, the Mighty, the Lord of the mighty Throne, to cure you, Allah will cure him from that disease.
