حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ شُعَيْبِ بْنِ اللَّيْثِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ جَدِّي اللَّيْثِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنِي عُقَيْلٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَخْبَرَنِيسَالِمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّ ابْنَ عُمَرَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏كَانَ يَكْرِي أَرْضَهُ حَتَّى بَلَغَهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّ رَافِعَ بْنَ خَدِيجٍ الْأَنْصَارِيَّ حَدَّثَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَنْهَى عَنْ كِرَاءِ الْأَرْضِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَلَقِيَهُ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ يَا ابْنَ خَدِيجٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏مَاذَا تُحَدِّثُ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي كِرَاءِ الْأَرْضِ ؟ قَالَ رَافِعٌ لِعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ:‏‏‏‏ سَمِعْتُ عَمَّيَّ وَكَانَا قَدْ شَهِدَا بَدْرًا حَدِّثَانِ أَهْلَ الدَّارِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى عَنْ كِرَاءِ الْأَرْضِ . قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ:‏‏‏‏ وَاللَّهِ لَقَدْ كُنْتُ أَعْلَمُ فِي عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّ الْأَرْضَ تُكْرَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ خَشِيَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ أَنْ يَكُونَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَحْدَثَ فِي ذَلِكَ شَيْئًا لَمْ يَكُنْ عَلِمَهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَتَرَكَ كِرَاءَ الْأَرْضِ. قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُد:‏‏‏‏ رَوَاهُ أَيُّوبُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَ عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَ كَثِيرُ بْنُ فَرْقَدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَ مَالِكٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ نَافِعٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ رَافِعٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَرَوَاهُ الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ حَفْصِ بْنِ عِنَانٍ الْحَنَفِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ نَافِعٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ رَافِعٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَكَذَلِكَ رَوَاهُ زَيْدُ بْنُ أَبِي أُنَيْسَةَ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ نَافِعٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّهُ أَتَى رَافِعًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ سَمِعْتَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ؟ فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ نَعَمْ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَكَذَا. قَالَ عِكْرِمَةُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ:‏‏‏‏ عَنْ أَبِي النَّجَاشِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ رَافِعِ بْنِ خَدِيجٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَيْهِ الصَّلَاة وَالسَّلَامُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَرَوَاهُ الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي النَّجَاشِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْرَافِعِ بْنِ خَدِيجٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَمِّهِ ظُهَيْرِ بْنِ رَافِعٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُد:‏‏‏‏ أَبُو النَّجَاشِيِّ:‏‏‏‏ عَطَاءُ بْنُ صُهَيْبٍ.

Urdu Translation

سالم بن عبداللہ بن عمر نے خبر دی کہ   ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما اپنی زمین بٹائی پر دیا کرتے تھے، پھر جب انہیں یہ خبر پہنچی کہ رافع بن خدیج انصاری رضی اللہ عنہ نے حدیث بیان کی ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم زمین کو بٹائی پر دینے سے روکتے تھے، تو عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما ان سے ملے، اور کہنے لگے: ابن خدیج! زمین کو بٹائی پر دینے کے سلسلے میں رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے آپ کیا حدیث بیان کرتے ہیں؟ رافع رضی اللہ عنہ نے عبداللہ بن عمر سے کہا: میں نے اپنے دونوں چچاؤں سے سنا ہے اور وہ دونوں جنگ بدر میں شریک تھے، وہ گھر والوں سے حدیث بیان کر رہے تھے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے زمین کو بٹائی پر دینے سے منع فرمایا ہے، عبداللہ بن عمر نے کہا: قسم اللہ کی! میں رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے زمانہ میں یہی جانتا تھا کہ زمین بٹائی پر دی جاتی تھی، پھر عبداللہ کو خدشہ ہوا کہ اس دوران رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اس باب میں کوئی نیا حکم نہ صادر فرما دیا ہو اور ان کو پتہ نہ چل پایا ہو، تو انہوں نے زمین کو بٹائی پر دینا چھوڑ دیا۔ ابوداؤد کہتے ہیں کہ اسے ایوب، عبیداللہ، کثیر بن فرقد اور مالک نے نافع سے انہوں نے رافع رضی اللہ عنہ سے اور رافع نے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے روایت کیا ہے۔ اور اسے اوزاعی نے حفص بن عنان حنفی سے اور انہوں نے نافع سے اور نافع نے رافع رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت کیا ہے، رافع کہتے ہیں: میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے سنا۔ اور اسی طرح اسے زید بن ابی انیسہ نے حکم سے انہوں نے نافع سے اور نافع نے ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے روایت کیا ہے کہ وہ رافع رضی اللہ عنہ کے پاس آئے اور ان سے دریافت کیا کہ کیا آپ نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے سنا ہے؟ تو انہوں نے کہا: ہاں۔ ایسے ہی عکرمہ بن عمار نے ابونجاشی سے اور انہوں نے رافع بن خدیج رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت کیا ہے، وہ کہتے ہیں: میں نے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے سنا ہے۔ اور اسے اوزاعی نے ابونجاشی سے، انہوں نے رافع بن خدیج رضی اللہ عنہ سے، رافع نے اپنے چچا ظہیر بن رافع سے اور انہوں نے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے روایت کیا ہے۔ ابوداؤد کہتے ہیں: ابونجاشی سے مراد عطاء بن صہیب ہیں۔

English Translation

Narrated Salim bin Abdullah bin Umar: Ibn Umar used to let out his land till it reached him that Rafi bin Khadij al-Ansari narrated that the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم forbade let out land. So Abdullah (bin Umar) said: Ibn Khadij, what do you narrate from the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم about leasing the land? Rafi replied to Abdullah bin Umar: I heard both of my uncles were present in the battle of Badr say, and they narrated it to the members of the family, that the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم forbade leasing land. Abdullah said: I swear by Allah, I knew that land was leased in the time of the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم. Abdullah then feared that the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم might have created something new in that matter, so he gave up leasing land. Abu Dawud said: This tradition has also been transmitted by Ayyub, Ubaid Allah, Kathir bin Farqad, Malik from Nafi on the authority of Rafi from the Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم. It has also been transmitted by al-Auzai' from Hafs bin 'Inan al-Hanafi from Nafi from Rafi who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم say: Similarly, it has been transmitted by Zaid bin Abi Unaisah from al-Hakkam from Nafi from Ibn Umar that he went to Rafi and asked: Have you heard the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم say? He replied: Yes. Similarly, it has also been transmitted by Ikrimah bin Ammar from Abu al-Najashi, from Rafi bin Khadij who said: I heard the Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم say. It has also been transmitted by al-Auzai from Abu al-Najashi from Rafi bin Khadij from his uncle Zuhair bin Rafi from the Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم. Abu Dawud said: The name of Abu al-Najashi is Ata bin Suhaib.
