حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَعَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ بْنُ نَجْدَةَ الْحَوْطِيُّ المعنى واحد، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَا:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْسُهَيْلٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِيهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ:‏‏‏‏ أَنَّ سَعْدَ بْنَ عُبَادَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ الرَّجُلُ يَجِدُ مَعَ امْرَأَتِهِ رَجُلًا أَيَقْتُلُهُ ؟ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ لَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ سَعْدٌ:‏‏‏‏ بَلَى وَالَّذِي أَكْرَمَكَ بِالْحَقِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ اسْمَعُوا إِلَى مَا يَقُولُ سَيِّدُكُمْ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ:‏‏‏‏ إِلَى مَا يَقُولُ سَعْدٌ.

Urdu Translation

ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ   سعد بن عبادہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا: اللہ کے رسول! اگر کوئی شخص اپنی بیوی کے ساتھ کسی مرد کو پائے تو کیا اسے قتل کر دے؟ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: نہیں سعد نے کہا: کیوں نہیں، اللہ کے رسول! قسم ہے اس ذات کی جس نے آپ کو حق کے ساتھ عزت دی ( میں تو اسے قتل کر دوں گا ) نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: سنو! جو تمہارے سردار کہہ رہے ہیں ( عبدالوہاب کے الفاظ ہیں، ( سنو ) جو سعد کہہ رہے ہیں ) ۔

English Translation

Narrated Abu Hurairah: That Saad bin Ubadah said: Messenger of Allah! If a man finds a man with his wife, should he kill him ? The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: No. Saad: Why not, by Him who has honoured you with truth ? The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: Listen to what your chief is saying. The narrator Abd al-Wahhab said: (Listen) to what Saad is saying.
