Jabir bin Abdullah reported the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم as saying: if anyone says when he hears the call to prayer: “O Allah, Lord of this perfect call and of the prayer which is established for all time, grant Muhammad the wasilah and excellency, and raise him up in a praiseworthy position which Thou hast promised, he will be assured of my intercession.

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا شُعَيْبُ بْنُ أَبِي حَمْزَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْجَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّه، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ مَنْ قَالَ حِينَ يَسْمَعُ النِّدَاءَ:‏‏‏‏ اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّ هَذِهِ الدَّعْوَةِ التَّامَّةِ وَالصَّلَاةِ الْقَائِمَةِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏آتِ مُحَمَّدًا الْوَسِيلَةَ وَالْفَضِيلَةَ وَابْعَثْهُ مَقَامًا مَحْمُودًا الَّذِي وَعَدْتَهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏إِلَّا حَلَّتْ لَهُ الشَّفَاعَةُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ .

جابر بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: جس شخص نے اذان سن کر یہ دعا پڑھی: «اللهم رب هذه الدعوة التامة والصلاة القائمة آت محمدا الوسيلة والفضيلة وابعثه مقاما محمودا الذي وعدته» اے اللہ! اس کامل دعا اور ہمیشہ قائم رہنے والی نماز کے رب! محمد صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو وسیلہ ۱؎ اور فضیلہ ۲؎ عطا فرما اور آپ کو مقام محمود ۳؎ پر فائز فرما جس کا تو نے وعدہ فرمایا ہے تو قیامت کے دن اس کے لیے میری شفاعت واجب ہو جائے گی ۔
