Yahya-Ibn Adam- said: I heard Sufyan reciting this tashahhud in the obligatory and voluntary prayers, and he said: 'Abu Ishaq narrated to us from Abu Al-Ahwas from Abdullah, from the Prophet (ﷺ).' And Mansur and Hammad narrated to us from Abu Wa'il, from Abdullah, from the Prophet (ﷺ).

أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى وَهُوَ ابْنُ آدَمَ قال:‏‏‏‏ سَمِعْتُ سُفْيَانَ يَتَشَهَّدُ بِهَذَا فِي الْمَكْتُوبَةِ وَالتَّطَوُّعِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَيَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي الْأَحْوَصِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ. ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مَنْصُورٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَحَمَّادٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ.

یحییٰ بن آدم کہتے ہیں کہ   میں نے سفیان  ( سفیان ثوری )  کو یہی تشہد فرض اور نفل دونوں میں پڑھتے سنا، اور وہ کہتے تھے کہ ہم سے اسحاق نے بیان کیا انہوں نے ابو احوص سے انہوں نے عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ سے اور انہوں نے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے روایت کیا ہے، نیز اسے ہم سے منصور اور حماد نے بیان کیا اور ان دونوں نے ابووائل سے روایت کیا اور انہوں نے عبداللہ ابن مسعود سے اور ابن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ نے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے۔
