أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا يَعْلَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا قُدَامَةُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ جَسْرَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَتْ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَتْنِي عَائِشَةُ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا،‏‏‏‏ قَالَتْ:‏‏‏‏ دَخَلَتْ عَلَيَّ امْرَأَةٌ مِنَ الْيَهُودِ،‏‏‏‏ فَقَالَتْ:‏‏‏‏ إِنَّ عَذَابَ الْقَبْرِ مِنَ الْبَوْلِ،‏‏‏‏ فَقُلْتُ:‏‏‏‏ كَذَبْتِ،‏‏‏‏ فَقَالَتْ:‏‏‏‏ بَلَى،‏‏‏‏ إِنَّا لَنَقْرِضُ مِنْهُ الْجِلْدَ وَالثَّوْبَ،‏‏‏‏ فَخَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ وَقَدِ ارْتَفَعَتْ أَصْوَاتُنَا،‏‏‏‏ فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ مَا هَذَا ،‏‏‏‏ فَأَخْبَرْتُهُ بِمَا قَالَتْ،‏‏‏‏ فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ صَدَقَتْ،‏‏‏‏ فَمَا صَلَّى بَعْدَ يَوْمِئِذٍ صَلَاةً إِلَّا قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ فِي دُبُرِ الصَّلَاةِ رَبَّ جِبْرِيلَ وَمِيكَائِيلَ وَإِسْرَافِيلَ أَعِذْنِي مِنْ حَرِّ النَّارِ وَعَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ .

Urdu Translation

ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا کہتی ہیں کہ   ایک یہودی عورت میرے پاس آئی اور کہنے لگی: پیشاب سے نہ بچنے پر قبر میں عذاب ہوتا ہے تو میں نے کہا: تو جھوٹی ہے، تو اس نے کہا: سچ ہے ایسا ہی ہے، ہم کھال یا کپڑے کو پیشاب لگ جانے پر کاٹ ڈالتے ہیں، اتنے میں رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نماز کے لیے باہر تشریف لائے، ہماری آواز بلند ہو گئی تھی، آپ نے پوچھا:  کیا ماجرا ہے؟  میں نے آپ کو جو اس نے کہا تھا بتایا، تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا:  وہ سچ کہہ رہی ہے ، چنانچہ اس دن کے بعد سے آپ جو بھی نماز پڑھتے تو نماز کے بعد یہ کلمات ضرور کہتے: «رب جبريل وميكائيل وإسرافيل أعذني من حر النار وعذاب القبر» اے جبرائیل وم یکائیل اور اسرافیل کے رب! مجھے جہنم کی آگ کی تپش، اور قبر کے عذاب سے بچا ۔

English Translation

Aishah said: A Jewish woman entered unto me and said: 'The torment of the grave is because of urine.' I said: 'You are lying.' She said: 'No, it is true; we cut our skin and clothes because of it.' The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) went out to pray and our voices became loud. He said: 'What is this?' So I told him what she had said. He said: 'She spoke the truth.' After that day he never offered any prayer but he said, following the prayer: 'Rabba Jibril wa Mika'il wa Israfil, aiding min harrin-nar wa 'adhabil-qabr (Lord of Jibril, Mika'il and Israfil, grant me refuge from the heat of the Fire and the torment of the grave).'
