أَخْبَرَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ الْجَوْزَجَانِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قال:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قال:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ يُونُسَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قال:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا أَشْعَثُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ إِذَا قَعَدَ بَيْنَ شُعَبِهَا الْأَرْبَعِ ثُمَّ اجْتَهَدَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَدْ وَجَبَ الْغُسْلُ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَبُو عَبْد الرَّحْمَنِ:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا خَطَأٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالصَّوَابُ أَشْعَثُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ الْحَسَنِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقَدْ رَوَى الْحَدِيثَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏النَّضْرُ بْنُ شُمَيْلٍ وَغَيْرُهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏كَمَا رَوَاهُ خَالِدٌ.

Urdu Translation

ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: جب مرد عورت کی چاروں شاخوں کے بیچ بیٹھے، پھر کوشش کرے، تو غسل واجب ہو گیا ۔ ابوعبدالرحمٰن ( نسائی ) کہتے ہیں: اشعث کا ابن سیرین کے طریق سے ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت کرنا غلط ہے، صحیح یہ ہے کہ اشعث نے اسے بواسطہ حسن ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت کی ہے، نیز یہ حدیث بواسطہ شعبہ نضر بن شمیل وغیرہ سے بھی مروی ہے جیسا کہ اسے خالد نے روایت کی ہے، یعنی: بطریق «قتادة عن الحسن، عن أبي رافع، عن أبي هريرة»۔

English Translation

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: When (a man) sits between the four parts of his wife's body and exerts himself, then Ghusl becomes obligatory. Abu 'Abdur-Rahman said: This is a mistake what is correct is; 'Ash'ath from Al-Hasan, from Abu Hurairah.' An-Nadr bin Shumail, and others, reported the Hadith from Shu'bah just as Khalid reported it.
