It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that the Messenger of Allah said: When one of you dies, he is shown his place morning and evening. If he is one of the people of Paradise then he is one of the people of Paradise, and if he is one of the people of Hell. It is said: 'This is your place, until Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, raises you up on the Day of Resurrection. '

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالْحَارِثُ بْنُ مِسْكِينٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قِرَاءَةً عَلَيْهِ وَأَنَا أَسْمَعُ وَاللَّفْظُ لَهُ،‏‏‏‏ عَنِ ابْنِ الْقَاسِمِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنِي مَالِكٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ نَافِعٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ إِذَا مَاتَ أَحَدُكُمْ عُرِضَ عَلَى مَقْعَدِهِ بِالْغَدَاةِ وَالْعَشِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏إِنْ كَانَ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ فَمِنْ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَإِنْ كَانَ مِنْ أَهْلِ النَّارِ فَمِنْ أَهْلِ النَّارِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَيُقَالُ:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا مَقْعَدُكَ حَتَّى يَبْعَثَكَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ .

عبداللہ بن عمر رضی الله عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”جب تم میں سے کوئی مرتا ہے تو اس کا ٹھکانا اس پر صبح و شام پیش کیا جاتا ہے، اگر وہ جنتی ہے تو جنتیوں ( کے ٹھکانوں ) میں سے، اور اگر جہنمی ہے تو جہنمیوں ( کے ٹھکانوں ) میں سے، ( اور اس سے ) کہا جاتا ہے: یہ تمہارا ٹھکانا ہے یہاں تک کہ اللہ عزوجل تمہیں قیامت کے روز اٹھائے“۔
