It was narrated that 'Abdullah bin 'Amr said: When the Messenger of Allah conquered Makkah, he stood up to address the people and said in his Khutbah; 'It is not permissible for a woman to give anything without her husband's permission. ' (He narrated it) in abridged from.

أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنٌ الْمُعَلِّمُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّ أَبَاهُ حَدَّثَهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ لَمَّا فَتَحَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَكَّةَ قَامَ خَطِيبًا فَقَالَ فِي خُطْبَتِهِ:‏‏‏‏ لَا يَجُوزُ لِامْرَأَةٍ عَطِيَّةٌ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِ زَوْجِهَا ،‏‏‏‏ مُخْتَصَرٌ.

عبداللہ بن عمرو رضی الله عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ   جب رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے مکہ فتح کر لیا، تو تقریر کے لیے کھڑے ہوئے، آپ نے ( منجملہ اور باتوں کے ) اپنی تقریر میں فرمایا: ”کسی عورت کا اپنے شوہر کی اجازت کے بغیر عطیہ دینا جائز نہیں“، یہ حدیث مختصر ہے۔
