It was narrated from Ibn Abbas: That a man in Ihram was thrown by his she-camel and his neck was broken. It was said that he had died, so the Prophet said: Wash him with water and lotus leaves, and shroud him in two cloths. Then he said: Do not put any perfume on him for he will be raised on the Day of Resurrection reciting the Talbiyah. Shubah said: Ten years later, I asked him (the narrator Abu Bishr) anbut that, and he narrated the Hadith as he had the first time, except that he said: 'And do not cover his face and head.' .

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي بِشْرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّ رَجُلًا مُحْرِمًا صُرِعَ عَنْ نَاقَتِهِ فَأُوقِصَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ذُكِرَ أَنَّهُ قَدْ مَاتَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ اغْسِلُوهُ بِمَاءٍ وَسِدْرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَكَفِّنُوهُ فِي ثَوْبَيْنِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ عَلَى إِثْرِهِ خَارِجًا رَأْسُهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ وَلَا تُمِسُّوهُ طِيبًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَإِنَّهُ يُبْعَثُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مُلَبِّيًا ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ شُعْبَةُ:‏‏‏‏ فَسَأَلْتُهُ بَعْدَ عَشْرِ سِنِينَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَجَاءَ بِالْحَدِيثِ كَمَا كَانَ يَجِيءُ بِهِ إِلَّا أَنَّهُ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ وَلَا تُخَمِّرُوا وَجْهَهُ وَرَأْسَهُ .

عبداللہ بن عباس رضی الله عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ   ایک محرم اپنی اونٹنی سے گر گیا، تو اس کی گردن ٹوٹ گئی، ذکر کیا گیا کہ وہ مر گیا تو نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”اسے پانی اور بیر کی پتی سے غسل دو، اور دو کپڑوں ہی میں اسے کفنا دو“، اس کے بعد یہ بھی فرمایا: ”اس کا سر کفن سے باہر رہے“، فرمایا: ”اور اسے کوئی خوشبو نہ لگانا کیونکہ وہ قیامت کے دن تلبیہ پکارتا ہوا اٹھایا جائے گا“۔ شعبہ ( جو اس حدیث کے راوی ہیں ) کہتے ہیں: میں نے ان سے ( یعنی اپنے استاد ابوبشر سے ) دس سال بعد پوچھا تو انہوں نے یہ حدیث اسی طرح بیان کی جیسے پہلے کی تھی البتہ انہوں نے ( اس بار اتنا مزید ) کہا کہ ”اس کا منہ اور سر نہ ڈھانپو“۔
