أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُرَّةَ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ النَّذْرُ لَا يُقَدِّمُ شَيْئًا وَلَا يُؤَخِّرُهُ،‏‏‏‏ إِنَّمَا هُوَ شَيْءٌ يُسْتَخْرَجُ بِهِ مِنَ الشَّحِيحِ .

Urdu Translation

عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا:  نذر نہ کسی  ( مقدر )  چیز کو آگے کرتی ہے نہ پیچھے، البتہ یہ ایک ایسی چیز ہے جس سے بخیل سے  ( کچھ مال )  نکال لیا جاتا ہے ۔

English Translation

It was narrated that Ibn 'Umar said: The Messenger of Allah said: 'A vow does not bring anything forward or put it back; it is just a means of taking wealth from the miserly.'
